Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD

The acclaimed website DIWA Labs has tested a superzoom camera from Fujifilm with 15x optical zoom called Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD. The camera also supports high definition (HD) format so you can watch photos and videos on HD televisions for clearer pictures.

Canon Digital IXUS 980 IS

The acknowledged website DIWA Labs has tested the 14.7 megapixel camera from Canon, the Canon Digital IXUS 980 IS (known as PowerShot SD 990 IS in North America). As the camera crams tons of megapixels into a small sensor it is interesting to see if the camera is able to produce pictures of high quality and deliver high resolution.

-3.7 x optical zoom (36-133mm, f/2.8-5.8)

Pentax Optio W60

Camera Labs has reviewed the latest waterproof camera from Pentax, the Optio W60, that competes directly with the tough Olympus 1050SW compact camera. Camera Labs has compared both the Optio W60 and the 1050SW.

Some key features for the Pentax Optio W60:
-Waterproof down to 4 meters for 2 hours
-5x optical zoom (28-140mm)
-10 megapixel sensor
-2.5″ LCD screen
-ISO sensitivity from 50 to 6400 (ISO 3200 and 6400 with 5 megapixels)

Camera Labs ends up giving the Pentax Optio W60 a “Recommended” 85% score. The camera is very capable of taking pictures underwater and has pretty good specifications compared to its competition.
The only downsides are lack of image stabilization, below average video function and low quality lens cover.
Seems like a very good camera if you are interested in underwater photography.

DIWA Labs has tested the a camera in the popular IXUS series from Canon, the Canon Digital IXUS 870 IS (known as PowerShot SD 880 IS in North America) compact camera.
