Photography Blog has reviewed a superzoom camera from Fujifilm called Fujifilm FinePix S2800HD. The S2800HD has a nice zoom range that starts at 28mm and ends at 504mm. In addition it has 14 megapixels and a large 3″ LCD screen.

Photography Blog ends up giving the Fujifilm S2800HD a “Recommended” rating with an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars. The digital camera scores highest on value for your money, almost as high on design, features and ease of use while it scores lower on image quality. The camera might have a look like a DSLR camera, but you will not get images out of this one of DSLR-quality. On the positive side the camera has a lot of features and it does come at a low price compared to other superzoom cameras.

HP Deskjet 1000 printer test / review by Trusted Reviews

Trusted Reviews has tested an inkjet printer from HP that comes with a very low price tag. The printer is called HP Deskjet 1000 and at the moment it sells for about £30, but it able to make good prints?

Some key features for the HP Deskjet 1000:
-Print speeds up to 16 pages per minute in black and 12 pages per minute in color
-Print resolution up to 4800 x 1200 dpi
-60 sheet input tray
-USB 2 connectivity
-ENERGY STAR® qualified printer

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the HP printer a very good review with an overall score of 9 out of 10 possible points and a “Trusted Reviews Recommended” award. The printer scores highest on value where it gets a perfect score, a little lower on print quality and print speeds while it scores lowest on features. The best thing with the Deskjet 1000 is its very low price. In addition it is able to make good prints and the speeds are not that bad. If you are on a tight budget and needs an acceptable printer this might be your choice.

Samsung launces Samsung ST95, ST90 and ST65 compact cameras with 5x zoom

Samsung has announced three new compact digital cameras called Samsung ST95, ST90 and ST65. The compact cameras all feature a stylish and slim design in addition to a 5x optical zoom lens. The Samsung ST65 and ST90 contains 14 megapixels while the ST 95 packs a bit more with 16 megapixels.

All three Samsung cameras will be available in February 2011 and cost about $199.99, $149.99 and $129.99.

Printer Comparison has tested a compact photo printer from Canon called Canon Selphy CP800. The photo printer has a large tilt-up LCD screen and is able to print photos fast as one in 47 seconds.

Some key features for the Canon Selphy CP800 printer:

-Prints 4×6 photos in as fast as 47 seconds
-Built-in 2.5″ tilt-up LCD screen
-Built-in card reader

Printer Comparison ends up giving the the CP800 an overall rating of 3.5 stars out of 5 possible. On the positive side the reviewer find the printer to make photos of very good quality, it has a very compact design and it comes at a low price. On the negative side there are issues such as high cost per print and uses a card sized paper tray separate. If you are looking for a dedicated photo printer with a compact desing the CP800 might be your choice.
