Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1

The Panasonic camera scores highest on image quality where it gets a perfect score, a little lower on ease of use, design and features, while it scores lowest on value for your money. It seems like Panasonic has made another nice addition to the Micro Four Thirds line up, but it is a bit too expensive to be chosen as the best camera by Photography Blog.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX90

Photography Blog has tested a small digital camera from Panasonic with several interesting features such as touchscreen and wi-fi compatibility. The camera is called Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX90 and comes with over 12 megapixels and 5x zoom

Photography Blog ends up giving the Lumix DMC-FX90 an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars and a “Recommended” rating. This Panasonic camera scores highest on features, almost as high on design and value for your money, while it scores lowest on image quality and ease of use. The FX90 comes with a lot of nice features and if Panasonic had used a bit more money on the image sensor to reduce image noise it would probably have gotten a top score from the reviewer.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS22

Photography Blog has tested a new digital camera from Panasonic that has a 16 megapixel sensor. The camera is called Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS22 (or FH7 in some markets) and also comes with 4x optical zoom and HD video recording. Let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this Panasonic camera.

If you are looking for a slim compact camera with tons of good features, but do not necessarily need the longest zoom range, this Panasonic camera might be your choice.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ48 / FZ47

Photography Blog has reviewed a compact camera from Panasonic with an interesting zoom range that starts at 24mm and ends at 600mm. The camera is called Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ48 (in some markets Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ47) and also comes with 12 megapixels and full HD video recording.

Photography Blog ends up giving the DMC-FZ48 a “Recommended” rating and an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars. The Panasonic camera scores highest on ease of use, design and features, a little lower on image quality, while it scores lowest on value for your money. It is a bit surprising that the camera scores so low on image quality as the image sensor only contains 12 megapixels, but the reviewer finds pictures taken at ISO 400 and higher, to be full of noise. Let us hope Panasonic works harder on image quality with the next camera in this series.
