Digitalcamerareview.com has reviewed the 10 megapixel Sony Cybershot DSC T700 compact camera. This camera sports a touchscreen LCD and a stylish design.

Some key features for the Sony Cybershot DSC T700:
-10.1 megapixel sensor
-4x optical zoom (35-140mm) Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, f/3.5-4.6
-3.5″ LCD touchscreen
-ISO sensitivity from 80-3200
-4GB internal memory

Digitalcamerareview.com seem to love the design and build quality of the Sony Cybershot DSC T700, but the camera does not produce the best pictures in the world due to color fringing, noise at higher ISO and blown highlights. Seems like a camera for people who care more about design than image quality.

Firmware update for Nikon SB-900 flash to version 5.02

27 November, 2008 (09:59) | Flash, Nikon | By: Camera News

Nikon has updated the firmware for their flash SB-900 to version 5.02. Here are the updates:

-With uninterrupted shooting with the SB-900 set to i-TTL mode, images captured just before the flash ceased firing were sometimes slightly overexposed. This issue has now been resolved. By resolving this issue, metering precision has been further increased and the number of times the flash fires has also been increased.
-When the SB-900 (set to TTL auto flash mode) is used with a camera supporting the Nikon Creative Lighting System (CLS), flash mode automatically changes to A mode according to camera communication status. That flash mode was previously maintained, but it has now been modified so that TTL auto flash mode is restored once the SB-900 again recognizes the camera as a CLS-compatible camera.
When installing the new firmware for the Nikon SB-900 on the Nikon D3 and D300 DSLR’s be sure to have updated firmware on the camera. That is not necessary for Nikon D90 and D700.

DIWA Labs has tested the only pancake lens from Olympus so far, the Olympus Zuiko Digital 25mm f2.8 lens. This relativley cheap lens was designed to fit the smaller DSLR camera from Olympus, the E-420 and E-520. The Olympus Zuiko Digital 25mm f2.8 lens seems to be able to produce very good pictures when you compare it to its price range. The lens should be a good friend for every photographer that want to travel light.
DIWA Labs has also compared the Zuiko lens with its big brother, the Panasonic Leica D Summilux 25mm f/1.4 lens.

Read the full tests of the Olympus Zuiko Digital 25mm f2.8 lens here.
The tests done by DIWA Labs are very technical so you need to read their test guide to understand the test results.
