Nikon Coolpix S210

Digitalcamerareview.com has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix S210 compact camera. This Nikon camera is a priced pretty low (at about $160), but got some nice features.
Some key features for the Sony Cybershot DSC T300:
-8.1 megapixels
-3x optical zoom lens (38-114mm equivalent)
-Image stabilization
-ISO 64 to 2000
-2.5″ LCD screen

Digital Camera Review ends up giving the Nikon Coolpix S210 a pretty good rating as the camera is able to produce good pictures, got easy controls and the metal body is of good quality.
The only cons are that the image stabilization system doesn’t seem to work as good as on other Nikon cameras, the camera got no viewfinder and no manual controls.
Overall the Coolpix S210 seems like a good camera in its price-class.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5

DIWA Labs has tested Panasonic’s 10x wide angle zoom digital camera, the Lumix DMC-TZ5.
Some key features for the Lumix DMC-TZ5:
-10x optical zoom (28-280mm equivalent)
-9.1 megapixels
-Image stabilization
-720p HD video capture
-3.0″ LCD screen

DIWA Labs says that the lens performance is excellent, but there is some image noise at high ISO due to the 9.1 megapixels crammed into a small sensor. Overall this seems like an excellent compact camera when it comes to image quality.

Sony 24-70mm f/2.8

PopPhoto.com has tested the Sony 24 -70mm f/2.8 Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T Zoom (SAL-2470Z) lens on a Sony A700 DSLR body. With a price of $1,750 this standard zoom lens got pro-quality Carl Zeiss T coated optics.

PopPhoto ends up giving the Sony lens a very good rating as it able to produce excellent pictures and very good build quality.
PopPhoto will redo the tests when Sony releases a full frame body to check for distortion and light falloff.

Olympus has updated the firmware for 3 lenses; the new pancake lens Zukio Digital ED 25mm F2.8, Zukio Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 and Zukio Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6. The update improves the focusing system when used with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 DSLR camera.
