Nikon Coolpix S630 test / review by Imaging Resource – Digital camera with 7x optical zoom

Imaging Resource has tested the Nikon Coolpix S630 compact digital camera. This Nikon camera feature 7x optical zoom and a sleek and compact camera body.

Some key features for the Nikon Coolpix S630:
-7x optical zoom lens
-12 megapixel image sensor
-2.7″ LCD screen
-ISO sensitivity from 64 to 6400
-Image stabilization
-Face detection

Imaging Resource ends up giving the Nikon Coolpix S630 a “Dave’s Pick” award as it is pretty good performer for snapshot photographers, but more enthusiastic photographer might want to look elsewhere. Especially prints score high and the nice 7x zoom lens in a compact body, but it scores a bit lower on color performance and white balance.

Digital Camera Resource Page has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix S630 compact camera. This Nikon camera features a 12 megapixel sensor and a 7x optical zoom lens.

Some key features for the Nikon Coolpix S630:

-7x optical zoom (37 – 260mm)
-2.7″ LCD screen
-44MB of built-in memory

Digital Camera Resource Page ends up giving the Nikon Coolpix S630 camera a not so good rating as the photo quality the camera is able to produce is not the best. The Nikon camera focuses slowly in low light and is noisy at higher ISO levels.
On the positive side you get a 7x optical zoom lens in a very compact body and accurate colors in your pictures.

Nikon announced a bunch of digital cameras today and among them we find the Nikon Coolpix S630 that is closely related to the S620. The camera feature a 7x optical zoom lens, 12 megapixel sensor and 2.7″ LCD screen

The Nikon Coolpix S630 will be available in February 2009 and cost about $280.

The new COOLPIX S-Series cameras will be available nationwide February 2009. The S630 will retail for $279.95; the S620 will retail for $269.95; and S220 will retail for $149.95.
