Canon Selphy ES40

PC Magazine has tested an interesting compact photo printer from Canon. The printer is called Canon Selphy ES40 and feature special effect like speech bubbles, frames and more.

PC Magazine ends up giving the Canon Selphy ES40 a “Good” 4.5 out of 5 points rating. The printer is able to produce prints of high quality and it is easy to set up. The print speeds are acceptable all though a bit slower than other photo printers, but the costs of prints are a bit high.

PLANon PrintStik PS910

PLANon PrintStik PS910 is a small portable printer that you can fit into your laptop bag. Trusted Reviews has tested the quality of this small printer and it is interesting to see if it acutally can keep what it promises.

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the PLANon PrintStik PS910 a lukewarm score with 6 out of 10 points. The printer scores highest on print speed and quality while scoring lower on value and lowest on print quality. Since the print quality is pretty bad the reviewer suggests that you use other printers if you absolutely need a portable printer, but the PrintStik printer is at least a cool idea.

Dell 1230c

PC Magazine has tested the Dell 1230c color laser printer. This Dell printer can print up to 2400dpi x 600dpi print resolution and has a pretty compact size for a color laser printer.

-4 ink cartridges
-Prints speeds up to 17 pages per minute in black and 4 pages per minute in color
-USB 2 connectivity

PC Magazine ends up giving the Dell 1230c a “Good” 3 out of 5 points score. The reviewer finds the printer to be pretty average since it does not really stand out on any features. Overall it offers pretty good print quality, but text prints could be better and print speeds is not all that fast. One major positive point for the 1230c is its small size and relatively low weight.

Canon PIXMA iX7000

Printer Comparison has tested the Canon PIXMA iX7000 inkjet business printer. This Canon printer is able to make 11″ x 17″ business friendly prints.

-11″ x 17″ business friendly prints
-Auto duplexing
-Holds 250 sheets + 30 sheets in front and rear feeder
-Ethernet and USB 2 connectivity

Printer Comparison ends up giving the Canon PIXMA iX7000 a very good review as it makes prints of excellent quality, don’t use that much ink and has duplexing. The only downside is that the printer is a bit big and heavy and it does not have wireless connectivity.
This seems like a very good A3 format printer for small businesses and photographers that want to make their own prints.
