The Sony Handycam is able to record videos of very high quality and it contains a lot of handy features. The only downside is the high price tag so if you are on a tight budget you might want to look at other pocketable camcorders.

Trusted Reviews has tested the JVC PICSIO GC-FM1 pocket HD camcorder. This HD camcorder from JVC features HD video recording up to 1,440 x 1,080 resolution at 30 frames per second. If you want to record at 60 frames per second you can use 720p resolution.

The JVC PICSIO GC-FM1 scores 7 out of 10 points in the Trusted Reviews test. The camcorder scores highest on image quality and value while scoring much lower on features. The reviewer was impressed by the image quality that this camcorder is able to produce and the price tag is not all that bad. The PICSIO GC-FM1 has a few shortcomings like fixed fixed length and no manual settings, but overall this seems like a nice little HD camcorder that can fit in your pocket.

Samsung HMX-H106 HD camcorder with 64 GB test / review by Camcorder Info

Camcorder info has tested the Samsung HMX-H106 camcorder. This HD camcorder from Samsung has 64GB of internal memory and 10x optical zoom.

Some key features for the Samsung HMX-H106:

-Optical image stabilization
-2.7″ touchscreen
-Full HD (1920 x 1080/60i or 30p)

Camcorder Info ends up giving the Samsung HMX-H106 a pretty good review as it produces videos with very sharp content. The 64GB of internal memory is also very nice to have, but it raises the price tag with some dollars. The Samsung has a few shortcomings like not the best touchscreen, cheap button design and few features compared to other camcorders on the marked, but this model is still one of the best mid-range camcorders out there right now.

Camcorder Info ends up giving the Canon FS200 a very good review as they find the camcorder to one of the best standard definition camcorder of 2009. It is very compact, stylish and it feels good in your hand. The video quality that the Canon camcorder produces is also pretty good.
