Photography Blog has tested the Canon PowerShot A3100 IS digital camera. This compact from Canon is supposed to replace the A2100 as a budget camera that is still top of the range. It remains to be seen if the camera is any good.

The camera scores highest on ease of use, pretty high on image quality, value and design while scoring a bit lower on features. If you are looking for an affordable camera that takes good pictures the A3100 might be the one for you, but do not expect tons of usable features that you can find in more expensive cameras.

SanDisk has announced the first ever 32 Gigabyte MicroSDHC Memory Card. This is good news for mobile phone owners that use MicroSDHC memory cards as it easy to fill up smaller memory cards. In addition the camera sensor on mobile phones are getting more megapixels which means that the picture files get bigger and bigger.

The SanDisk 32 Gigabyte MicroSDHC Card will be available in March 2010 and cost around $200.

Photography Blog has tested the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 (also known as Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10) compact digital camera. This digital camera has a massive 14.5 megapixels and is able to shoot with three aspect ratios: 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9. It also has a built-in GPS unit.

Some key features for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 / Lumix DMC-TZ10:
-14.5 megapixel image sensor
-12x optical zoom lens (25-300mm)
-3″ LCD screen
-Image stabilization (Power O.I.S)
-Three aspect ratios 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9

Photography Blog ends up giving the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 / Lumix DMC-TZ10 a “Highly Recommended” rating with an overall score of 4.5 stars out of 5. The camera gets a perfect score on features, very high on design and ease of use while getting a little score on image quality and value for your money. The ZS7 seems to be an excellent travel camera with it’s useful zoom range, GPS unit and it is able to take pictures of good quality.

Printer Comparison has tested the Canon PIXMA MX350 wireless office all-in-one printer. This AIO printer is able to print, scan, copy and Super G3 fax, and has wireless connectivity.

-2.5″ LCD screen
-Wireless connectivity
-Print resolution up to 4800 x 1200 dpi
-Built-in memory card reader

Printer Comparison ends up giving the Canon PIXMA MX350 an overall score of 3 out of 5 stars. The MX350 is able to make good prints and it is easy to use. The scanner is also good, but there are a few downsides like the cost of printing and it is a bit slow. The PIXMA is a good printer, but it does not really fit an office environment and it seems like it would be better off for a home office.
