Samsung ST30 thin digital camera test / review by CNET UK

CNET UK has reviewed a very compact digital camera from Samsung that has a metal body and very slim design. The Samsung camera also comes with a modest 10 megapixels and only digital zoom. Let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this budget camera.

-10.1 megapixel image sensor
-No optical zoom
-Digital image stabilization
-4x digital zoom
-Smart Auto focus
-Metal body

CNET UK ends up giving the ST30 an overall score of 3 out of 5 possible stars. On the positive side the reviewer finds aspects such as small and stylish design, and the camera is pretty easy to use. But there are some negative points hindering it from getting a top score including poor image stabilization, no optical zoom and yellow color balance. Overall this is a very cheap camera, but you might want to invest a bit more money to get more features in your next digital camera.

Canon Pixma MG5320 wireless photo printer able to print CD/DVD test / review by PC Magazine

PC Magazine has tested a color inkjet printer from Canon that is focused on photo printing. The wireless printer is called Canon Pixma MG5320 and is able to print up to 12.5 images per minute, or so Canon claims.

Some key features for the Canon Pixma MG5320:
-Color inkjet printer
-Print speeds up to 12.5 images per minute for black and 9.3 images per minute for color
-Prints 4″ x 6″ borderless photo in approximately 20 seconds
-Up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi print resolution
-USB and wireless connectivity
-3″ LCD screen
-Built-in CD and DVD Printing:

PC Magazine ends up giving the MG5320 an overall score of 3.5 stars out of 5 possible. On the positive side the reviewer likes aspects with the printer such as fast photo printing and that is able to do CD and DVD printing. On the negative side there are a few points including that the menu buttons for navigation can be confusing. This Canon printer is pretty good, but does not stand out from the competition.

Photography Blog has tested a digital camera from Samsung that a nice zoom range starting at 24mm and ending at 432mm. The camera is called Samsung WB700 and also comes with 14 megapixels which should be plenty for most photographers.

-3″ LCD screen

Photography Blog ends up giving the WB700 a “Highly Recommended” rating with an overall score of 4.5 stars out of 5 possible. The Samsung camera scores highest on value for your money where it gets a perfect score, a little lower on features, while it scores lowest on image quality, design and ease of use. This digital camera from Samsung is great, especially if you look at what you get with such a low price tag.

The Sony camera scores highest on ease of use and design where it gets a perfect score, while it gets a little lower score on image quality, features and value for your money. This Cybershot camera seems like a good travel camera especially if you look at all the cool features and the relatively low price tag.
