CNET UK has tested a mono laser printer from Samsung. The printer is called Samsung ML-3310ND and Samsung claims it is able to print up to 31 pages per minute. Let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this laser printer.

CNET UK ends up giving the ML-3310ND an overall score of 3.5 stars out of 5 possible. On the positive side the reviewer finds aspects such as fast print speeds, good print quality and it does not cost much to print. On the negative side there are a couple of points including very small display and it can be a bit hard to connect the printer to a network. If you can cope with the technical difficulties this might be your mono laser printer of choice.

Photography Blog has tested an affordable zoom camera from Samsung. The camera is called Samsung PL210 and packs 10x optical zoom in camera body that is pretty thin. Let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this Samsung digital camera.

Photography Blog ends up giving the PL210 a “Recommended” rating with an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars. The Samsung camera scores highest on value for your money, a little lower on features and ease of use, while it scores lowest on image quality and design. If you look at the price tag you get a lot of camera for your money, but do not expect the best image quality in the world or you will be a bit disappointed as there are some noise at higher ISO levels.

Photography Blog has reviewed an ultrazoom camera from Fujifilm that has an incredible zoom range. The camera is called Fujifilm FinePix S4000 and comes with a lens that starts at 24 mm and ends at 720 mm giving it 30x optical zoom.

Photography Blog ends up giving the FinePix S4000 an “Above average” rating with an overall score of 3.5 stars out of 5 possible. This digital camera scores highest on value for your money and ease of use, a little lower on design and features, while it scores lowest on image quality. The camera comes with a nice price, but if you look closer at the images it is able to produces it does not look all that good. I hope Fujifilm will work harder on the picture quality with their next camera in this series.

Kenro has announced that they are launching a new film scanner from Reflecta in the UK. The film scanner is called Reflecta x4plus-Scan and comes with a 9 megapixel CMOS image sensor. In addition it has 2.4” LCD display, card slot for SD and SDHC memory cards and a lithium battery.

Kenro has announced the launch of the Reflecta x4plus-Scan, the latest film scanner from Reflecta, the respected German manufacturer of cutting-edge digitization products.

The x4plus-Scan features a CMOS image sensor which utilises Instant Photo Capture technology (as in a digital camera) to provide quick scans (2 seconds for a colour scan at 1800 dpi). It is suitable for scanning photographic 35mm transparencies and negatives and also pocket film (110).

This new addition to the Reflecta range features a 2.4” LCD display, an integrated SD/SDHC card slot and a lithium battery that allows the scanner to be used independently from a computer or power supply. Completed scans can be stored on an external memory card or transferred directly via the USB port and cable provided.

Boasting an optical density of 3.0 Dmax and a 30 Bit colour depth the x4plus-Scan can be set to 2,400 dpi which is the equivalent of a 9 megapixel image. The unit come complete with image editing software, ArcSoft MediaImpression.

The scanner comes supplied with film holders for three framed slides up to 3.2mm thick, film strips up to six exposures and for 110mm film strips up to eight exposures. The x4plus-Scan is available now with an RRP of £160.
