Some key features for the Canon PIXMA MG5220:

-Print speeds up to 11 ipm in black and 9.3 ipm in color
-Built-in 2-sided printing

Among the top five we actually find four out five printers to come from Canon while Epson has one printer among the lot.

Photography Blog has reviewed an interesting camera from Samsung. The Samsung PL90 includes a built-in USB connector so you can connect the camera directly to your PC. With the USB connector you can charge the camera via your computer and easily transfer data.

Some key features for the Samsung PL90:
-12.2 megapixel image sensor
-4x optical zoom lens (29-116mm)
-2.7″ LCD screen
-Built-in USB connector
-VGA video recording
-Uses microSD and microSDHC memory cards

Photography Blog ends up giving the Samsung PL90 a “Recommended” rating with an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars. The PL90 scores highest on design, ease of use and value for your money while it scores a little lower on features and image quality. The Samsung camera is a nice compact camera with some cool features and Samsung gets a bit of kudos for being innovative with the flip out USB connector, but the PL90 has some shortcomings like just VGA video and it uses mircoSD memory cards.

Trusted Reviews has tested a new PIXMA printer from Canon. The printer is called Canon PIXMA MG6150 and has Intelligent Touch System that you use for controls. Canon claims that the MG6150 is able to print a 10x15cm photo in 20 seconds.

-Print speeds up to 12.5 images per minute in black and 9.3 images per minute in color
-Prints a 10x15cm photo in about 20 seconds
-Automatic duplexing
-Intelligent Touch System
-6 Single Inks with gray
-Ethernet and wireless connectivity

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the Canon PIXMA MG6150 a very good review with a total score of 9 out of 10 points and it receives a “Trusted Reviews Highly Recommended” badge. The Canon printer scores highest on print quality and features while it scores a bit lower on print speeds and value for your money. The MG6150 seems like a very good photo printer that has a lot of useful features. The only downside that the reviewer mentions is a bit slow duplex printing.

About.com has reviewed a new DSLR camera from Sony called Sony Alpha SLT-A55V (a55). The Sony a55 features a new technology called Translucent Mirror Technology that makes Sony able to make their DSLR camera in this line smaller. Many people, me included, has asked for smaller cameras with large image sensors so this is a good move from Sony. Let us hear what the reviewer over at About.com thinks about the Sony Alpha SLT-A55V.

-16.2 megapixel image sensor
-3″ LCD screen
-Continuous 10 fps shooting
-1080/60i Full AVCHD or 1080/30p movies

About.com gives the Sony Alpha SLT-A55V a very good review with an overall score of 5 out of 5 possible stars. On the positive side the reviewer find the camera to produce pictures of excellent quality, automatic exposure is very good, fast and accurate autofocus and the feature where the camera switches between viewfinder and LCD view is nice. On the negative side the reviewer actually find the camera body to be a bit large, the camera is sometimes unable to focus in low light situations and LCD glare in direct sunlight. The reviewer claims that the a55 is one of the best beginner level DSLR cameras on the market!
