Imaging Resource has reviewed the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 compact camera. This Sony camera is one of the first to feature a a back-illuminated ‘Exmor R’ CMOS image sensor so it will be good to see how the image quality is.

Some key features for the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1:
-10.1 megapixel image sensor
-4x optical zoom lens (35-140mm)
-3″ LCD screen
-ISO sensitivity 125-3200

Imaging Resource ends up giving the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 a “Dave’s Pick award” as the increased light sensitivity from the new image sensor improves the image quality. It also has a responsive touch screen and has many other useful features. The DSC-TX1 seems like a very nice camera at about $380.
