Imaging Resource has reviewed the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V digital camera. This Sony camera has an Exmor R CMOS sensor that is back-illuminated. This technology is supposed to give better pictures at higher ISO levels so let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this compact camera.

Some key features for the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V:
-10.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor
-10x optical zoom lens (25-250mm)
-3″ LCD screen
-Optical image stabilization
-Record movies in 1080i AVCHD quality
-45MB of internal memory

Imaging Resource ends up giving the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V a very good review and it even gets a “Dave’s Pick” award. The reviewer find the camera to be very usable and takes pictures of good quality. It also takes pretty good pictures in low light and has a nice zoom range. On the downside we find a few things like not much of manual controls and jerky zooming, but overall this seems like a very nice compact camera from Sony.
