Epson has announced a new all-in-one photo printer with a pretty friendly price. The printer is called Epson Stylus Photo PX660 and is able to scan, copy and print photos.

Epson claims that the PX660 is able to print 10x15cm photo prints in 12 seconds. It is also able to print directly from memory cards, USB drives and PictBridge-enabled cameras.

The Epson Stylus Photo PX660 will be released on the market in December 2010 and cost about £130.

18 October, 2010 – Epson UK launches the Epson Stylus Photo PX660, an all-in-one printer with scan and copy functions that delivers fast, glossy, better-than-lab-quality photos. Designed to meet the needs of the photo enthusiast, the PX660 has an LCD screen and smart-navigation touch-panel for easy operation.

The PX660 uses Epson Claria Ink – a high definition, dye-based ink – to print superior photos that last for up to 98 years in a photo frame or over 200 years in an album*. This makes it the perfect partner for the latest D-SLR and compact cameras.

Users can save time and hassle by printing directly from memory cards, USB keys and PictBridge™-enabled cameras. Printing a 10x15cm photo takes just 12 seconds*, and users can personalise CDs and DVDs by printing directly onto suitable discs.

The PX660 has a choice of cartridges (Hummingbird and Owl) to meet every printing need. Users can save money with individual inks, as only the colour used needs to be replaced, and the printer’s ENERGY STAR qualified power efficiency helps reduce energy bills and impact on the environment.

Trusted Reviews has tested a budget all in one photo printer from Canon. The inkjet printer is called Canon PIXMA MP280 and Canon claims that is able to make a borderless photo print in about 43 seconds. Let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this budget printer.

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the Canon PIXMA MP280 and overall score of 7 out of 10 possible points. The Canon printer scores highest on value for your hard earned money. The MP280 scores a little lower on print quality and print speeds, while it scores lowest on features. If you are looking for a cheap printer this might be your choice, but if you spend a little bit more you can get more features from a printer like the Canon PIXMA MP495.

Trusted Reviews has tested an inkjet printer from Brother. The printer is called Brother DCP-J125 and is a budget inkjet printer that you can buy very cheap. Among the features we find that printer can print up to 33 pages per minute, or so Brother claims, and it has a built in media card centre.

Some key features for the Brother DCP-J125 printer:
-Print speeds up to 33 pages per minute in black and 27 pages per minute in colore
-4.8cm LCD screen
-Up to 19200 x 19200dpi colour scan resolution
-Built in media card centre
-Paper capacity up to 100 sheets
-USB 2 connectivity

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the Brother DCP-J125 a total score of 8 out of 10 possible points. The Brother printer scores highest on value for your money, a little lower on features and print quality while scoring lowest on print speeds. If you are looking for a cheap inkjet printer that gives you quite a bit of features for the money then the DCP-J125 might be your choice, but it is not a speed king when it comes to printing and the prints are not of the highest quality.

Canon PIXMA MG8120 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One printer test / review by Printer Comparison

Printer Comparison is one of my favorite websites when it comes to reviews of printers. This time they have reviewed a new printer from Canon called Canon PIXMA MG8120. This inkjet printer is able to print up to 12.5 images per minute in monochrome, or so Canon claims. In addition the wireless printer has a nice 3″ touchscreen.

Some key features for the :
-Able to print, scan and copy
-Print speeds up to 12.5 images per minute in black and 9.3 images per minute in color
-Print resolution up to 9600 x 2400 dpi
-3.5″ LCD screen with touch abilities
-Built-in card reader
-Wireless, ethernet and USB connectivity

Printer Comparison gives the Canon PIXMA MG8120 a good review with an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars. The MG8120 scores highest on design, ease of use, print quality, features and performance and a bit little lower on operational costs.
On the positive side the reviewer likes the intelligent touch system, the printer makes prints of high quality and the 2-way printing system is very nice. On the negative side we find a few issues like long processing time and it is expensive to refill the ink.
