SLR Gear has reviewed a top class from Canon. The lens is called Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS USM and is telephoto zoom lens with a zoom range of 70-200mm on Full Frame DSLR cameras at a constant f/2.8. The lens is a part of L-series made by Canon.

Some key features for the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS USM:
-70-200mm on Full Frame DLSR camera bodies
-112-320mm on APS-C sensor cameras
-Constant ƒ/2.8 aperture across all focal lengths
-Minimum focusing distance (1.2 meters
-Optical image stabilization

SLR Gear ends up giving the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS USM a very good review. The reviewer actually cannot find any errors with this lens so if you are thinking about getting this Canon lens you should probably go for it. The price tag is of course very high for such a great lens so you might consider if you need image stabilization or not as the version without image stabilization is less expensive.

SLR Gear has reviewed the new superzoom lens from Olympus for the Micro Four Thirds system. The lens is called Olympus 14-150mm f/4-5.6 ED M.Zuiko Digital and feature lightweight single-element internal focus units for quieter and more responsive autofocus. The focal length equals 28-300mm in the 35mm format. The lens is designed to fit the Micro Four Thirds system perfectly so let us hear what the reviewer at SLR Gear finds out about the lens.

SLR Gear ends up giving the Olympus 14-150mm f/4-5.6 ED M.Zuiko Digital a good review and they even say that the lens is very good, but it has a few shortcomings (like most superzoom lenses) like high chromatic aberrations at some focal lengths. The Olympus lens is not the sharpest lens that is ever produced but for a superzoom lens it is pretty sharp. If you are looking for a good walk-around lens for your Micro Four Thirds camera this Olympus lens might be your choice.

SLR Gear has tested the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II VC LD Aspherical IF SP AF lens. The lens has improved image stabilization over the previous version and it is able both for Nikon and Canon mounts.

SLR Gears find the Tamron lens a pretty good review, but the addition of Vibration Control (image stabilized) has made the lens a bit less sharp. It is still a good lens, but if you are considering buying the Tamron 17-50mm you might consider the non Vibration Control lens if you do not really need the addition of image stabilization.

Ther German photo testing website Photozone has tested one of my favorite lenses, the Olympus Digital Zuiko 35mm f/3.5 macro lens. This ultra-light macro lens is able to take pictures at a 1:1 scale, but because of the focal length 35mm you have to get very close to the subject to get 1:1.

Photozone gives the Olympus Digital Zuiko 35mm f/3.5 macro lens a good review as the lens is extremely sharp and give you macro pictures of high quality. There are a few drawbacks like the lack of focus limiter and that you have to get very close to the subjects making insect photography pretty hard. As a owner of the Olympus 35mm lens I’m very satisfied with this lens and I’ve taken tons of great macro photos. I wholeheartedly recommend this lens especially when you look at the low price tag.
