Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1

Digital Camera Resource Page has reviewed the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 compact digital camera. This superzoom camera features a 20x optical zoom lens, 3″ LCD screen and 9.1 megapixels.

Digital Camera Resource Page ends up giving the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 camera an average rating as the camera seems to apply a lot of noise reduction to the pictures. The camera has a great zoom range and optical image stabilization that works, but the most important part, image quality, could be better. Maybe one should look at a bit pricier cameras to get pictures of good quality.

Pentax X70

Digital Camera Review has reviewed the ultrazoom compact digital camera Pentax X70. This Pentax camera features a 24x optical zoom lens and 12 megapixels.

-12 megapixel sensor
-2.7″ LCD screen
-triple shake reduction
-Super Macro Mode for getting as close as 1 cm
-HD video at 1280×720 at 15 frames per second

Digital Camera Review ends up giving the Pentax X70 a pretty good review as you get a lot of zoom range for the money. The camera is able to compete well with other ultrazoom cameras, can produce pictures of good quality and is good in low light situations. The only downsides are poor HD video quality, a bit slow auto focus and no RAW file support.
Overall the X70 seems like a fine compact camera if you are not interested in investing in a DSLR camera.

Casio EXILIM EX-FS10

Photography Blog has reviewed the Casio EX-FS10 compact digital camera. This super slim camera from Casio features a busrt shooting mode at 30 fps and video mode at an incredible 1000fps.

Photography Blog ends up giving the Casio EX-FS10 camera a “Recommended 4 out 5 stars” rating. The camera is able to take good pictures at low ISO levels and the burst mode and video mode is very good. The only downsides are a bit limited zoom range and the battery life is short.
