DIWA Labs has tested the new consumer DSLR from Canon, the EOS 450D or Digital Rebel XSi as it is known in USA. This is the successor to the best-selling EOS 400D camera.
Some key features for the Canon EOS 450D:
-12 megapixel sensor
-3″ LCD screen with Live View
-14-bit processing and RAW
-Spot metering
-Improved auto focus and much more

DIWA Labs tested the Canon EOS 450D with the new kit lens EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS that has built-in image stabilization. DIWA Labs says that this lens is performing pretty poor and if you buy the kit lens you should consider upgrading to some optics with better quality.
The camera body itself is able to produce excellent pictures, almost as good as the more expensive Canon 40D DSLR.

The tests done by DIWA Labs are very technical so you need to read their test guide to understand the test results.
