Samsung TL320 test / review by about.com – Digital camera with AMOLED screen

About.com has reviewed the Samsung TL320 compact digital camera. This Samsung camera feature a large 3″ AMLOED display and 12 megapixels.

Some key features for the Samsung TL320:
-12 megapixel sensor
-5x optical zoom (24mm – 120mm)
-High-res 460,000 dot 3.0″ AMOLED display
-Analog gauges

About.com ends up giving the Samsung TL320 4 out 5 points rating. The reviewer find the camera easy to use and it has some manual controls that is a big plus for many photographers. The TL320 is also able to produce pictures of high quality and the LCD screen is very good. There are a few shortcomings like a little high price tag and the camera is not as compact as other cameras in the same class. Overall it seems that Samsung is improving and have made a good compact camera with the TL320.

PC Magazine has reviewed the Xerox WorkCentre 3220/DN monochrome laser all-in-one printer. This printer from Xerox is able to print, scan, fax and copy, and is targeted at small businesses.

Some key features for the Xerox WorkCentre 3220/DN:
-All-in-one printer that is able to print, scan, copy and fax
-250 sheet paper tray
-Automatically forward incoming faxes as e-mail attachments
-Automatic duplexer for printing

PC Magazine gives the Xerox WorkCentre 3220/DN a “Good” rating where it scores 3 out of 5 points. The reviewer likes that the printer has a lot of useful features like the email sender for faxes and stand-alone copier. The Xerox machine is also able to make prints of pretty high quality. What the reviewer does not like is that installation guide is a bit lacking and only cover the basic setup.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 compact digital camera test / review by about.com

About.com has reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 compact digital camera. This Panasonic camera feature 12.1 megapixels and 8x optical zoom with image stabilization. In addition the camera is able to capture HD video at 1280×720 at 30 frames per second.

-8x optical zoom lens (25-200mm)

-2.7″ LCD screen
-HD video at 1280×720 at 30fps

About.com ends up giving the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 a pretty good review with four out five stars. The reviewer find the camera to have good value, has a nice zoom range, has useful features and it is pretty fast. There a few negative aspects to the ZR1 like a poor LCD display, no manual controls and the camera body is pretty thick compared to other cameras in the same class. Overall the Lumix seems like a nice standard compact camera for amateur photographers.

Epson WorkForce 40 wireless color printer test / review by Printer Comparison

Printer Comparison has tested the Epson WorkForce 40 wireless color printer. This Epson printer feature both wireless and ethernet connectivity in addition to being able to print 38 pages per minute in draft mode (or so Epson claims).

Some key features for the Epson WorkForce 40 printer:
-Print speeds up to 38ppm in draft mode
-Individual cartridge system
-Manual duplexing
-Wireless and ethernet connectivity
-Compact design

Printer Comparison ends up giving the Epson WorkForce 40 an average review as the printer has nice features, but it feels a bit cheap (and so is the price tag). On the positive side we find a lightweight and compact design, it is easy to use and has some good features. On the negative side we find that the printer has pretty poor build quality and has paper jams. For a few more dollars one might invest in a more expensive printer with better features and build quality.
