DIWA Labs has tested the flagship compact camera from Nikon, the Nikon Coolpix P6000. This camera contains a sensor with a whole of 13.5 megapixels, built-in GPS and supports RAW files (a big plus in my opinion). The Coolpix P6000 is one of the most exciting compact cameras on the marked today.

Some key features for the Nikon Coolpix P6000:
-13.5 megapixel sensor
-4x optical zoom lens (28-112mm, f/2.7-5.9)
-Support for RAW file format
-2.7″ LCD screen
-Built-in GPS
-Optical viewfinder

The tests done by DIWA Labs are very technical so you need to read their test guide to understand the test results.

Imaging Resource has reviewed a 10 megapixel compact camera from Sony, the , which is the successor to the DSC-T70 camera.

Some key features for the Sony Cybershot DSC T77:
-10.1 megapixel sensor
-4x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optical zoom lens (35-140mm, f/3.5-4.6)
-3″ LCD screen
-ISO sensitivity from 80 to 3,200

Imaging Resource ends up giving the Sony Cybershot DSC T77 a pretty good verdict as the camera has a very slim design and is capable of producing good pictures, but there are some set backs because the Sony camera has a bit of corner softness, chromatic aberrations and noise at higher ISO levels. If you are looking for a very slim compact camera the Sony Cybershot DSC T77 might be your choice.

PC Magazine has reviewed a picture application for iPhone. The application is called CameraBag 1.4 and it lets you add filters to pictures on your iPhone. The filters are very different and range from Holga / Lomo like functions to Ansel Adams to infrared to fisheye.

PC Magazine ends up giving the CameraBag 1.4 application a 4 out of 5 rating and they seem to enjoy the application on their iPhone a lot. The only downside was occasional freeze up while saving pictures.
Seems like a fun program for your iPhone if you are interested in spicing up your pictures.
