Camera Labs has reviewed a zoom lens from Canon. This Canon lens is called Canon EF-S 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS and is the standard kit lens following for some of their more expensive DSLR camera bodies. The zoom range and image stabilization seems very useful so let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this lens from Canon.

Camera Labs ends up giving the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS a “Recommended” rating with an overall score at 76%. The Canon lens scores highest on value for your money and specifications, a little lower on build quality and lowest on optical quality. The reviewer thinks it was a smart move from Canon to move away from the EF-S 18-55mm IS kit lens and to this new lens with longer zoom range. When you look at the price tag the 18-135mm performs well and you can not expect miracles with that price tag, but there are some downsides like soft corners, vignetting and some distortion. For new DSLR photographers this should be an excellent choice.

PC Mag has reviewed a waterproof camera from Fujifilm. The camera is called Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP and is able to take pictures down to depths at 3 meters for two hours. Let us hear what the reviewer thinks about this cheap Fujifilm camera.

Some key features for the Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP:
-Waterproof down to 3 meters for two hours
-10 megapixel image sensor
-3x optical zoom lens
-2.7″ LCD screen
-50 MB built-in memory

PC Mag ends up giving the Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP a pretty poor review with an overall score of 2 out of 5 possible stars and a “Fair” rating. On the positive side we find the camera to be the cheapest underwater camera and yeah it is positive that it is able to take pictures under water. On the negative side we find aspects with the Fujifilm camera such as poor image quality, no optical image stabilization and the LCD can be hard to see when it is sunny. Trusted Reviews has tested a monochrome printer from Dell that looks like a scifi monster. The printer is called Dell 5330dn and is able to print an impressive 50 pages per minute, or so Dell claims.

Some key features for the Dell 5330dn printer:
-Print speeds up to 50 pages per minute
-Print resolution up to 600×600 dpi
-Duplex printing
-Wireless connectivity
-500 sheet main paper tray

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the Dell 5330dn an overall score of 8 out of 10 possible points. The Dell printer scores highest on print speeds where it gets an almost perfect score, a little lower on print quality and features while scoring pretty low on value for your money. If you need a very fast printer this Dell might be your choice as it even prints very fast in duplex mode. Even though it is very fast the print quality is good, but it comes at a price and that is a high price tag. If you are not willing to pay as much you might want to look a bit more on the market to find a printer that better fits your need.
