Trusted Reviews has tested a 3-in-1 mono laser printer from Brother. The printer is called Brother DCP-7055 and is able to print up to 20 pages per minute, or so the manufacturer claims.

Some key features for the Brother DCP-7055:
-Laser printer able to print, copy and scan
-Print speeds up to 20 pages per minute
-First page out time of less than 10 seconds
-250 sheet paper capacity
-USB 2 connectivity

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the DCP-7055 an overall rating of 7 out of 10 possible points. The Brother printer scores highest on print speeds and value for your money, while it scores a little lower on print quality and features. The printer is easy to use, is pretty fast and produces prints of good quality. The running costs are a bit high so if that is a concern this Brother printer might not be your choice.

CNET UK has reviewed a new compact camera from Panasonic with a nice Leica lens. The camera is called Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS37 (DMC-FH27 in some markets) and also has plenty of megapixels and a touchscreen interface.

Some key features for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS37:
-16.1 megapixel image sensor
-8x optical zoom Leica lens (28-224mm)
-3″ touchscreen LCD
-Able to record 720p HD videos

CNET UK ends up giving the DMC-FS37 an overall score of 3.5 stars out of 5 possible. On the positive side the reviewer finds the camera to have a useful zoom range, large LCD screen, stylish design and its performance is fast. On the negative side the reviewer does not like the touchscreen interface and the video function could be better. This Panasonic seems like a good compact camera with good image quality and long zoom, but it is a bit pricey and larger than other compacts.

HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer test / review by PC Magazine

PC Magazine has reviewed a portable printer from HP that is able to print up to 5 pages per minute, or so HP claims. The printer is called HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer and is color inkjet printer.

Some key features for the HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer:
-Print speeds up to 5 pages per minute in monochrome and 3.5 pages per minute in color
-50 sheets tray
-Bluetooth, PictBridge and USB connectivity
-Print resolution up to 600 dpi

PC Magazine ends up giving the HP printer an overall score of only 2.5 of 5 possible stars. The printer scores highest on design, a bit lower on performance and lowest on features. The reason for such a low score are very low print speeds and high ink costs. There are a few positive sides though, including that it is portable and the print quality is pretty good. If you need a portable printer and are not in a hurry the Officejet 100 might be your choice.

Photography Blog has reviewed a new digital compact camera from Nikon with an incredible zoom range. The optical zoom lens starts at 22.5mm and ends at 810mm so it should fit most of your zooming needs. The camera is called Nikon Coolpix P500 and also has a nice tiltable LCD screen.

Some key features for the Nikon Coolpix P500:
-12.1 megapixel image sensor
-36x optical zoom lens (22.5-810mm)
-5-way VR Image Stabilization System
-3″ tiltable LCD screen
-Full HD 1080p video recording
-ISO sensitivity from 160 to 3200

Photography Blog ends up giving the P500 a “Recommended” rating and an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars. The Nikon camera scores highest on features, a little bit lower on design and ease of use, while it scores lowest on image quality and value for your money. The Nikon ultrazoom handles much like a DSLR camera and has many DSLR style features. The P500 is a good camera, but Nikon could have worked a bit more on the image quality and added support for RAW-format.
