Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM

Sigma has updated the firmware for thei Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM lens for the Four Thirds format. Firmware version 1.1 include this update:
“Corrects to give an accurate compensation value for camera shake when the lens is used with a camera body incorporating an image sensor shift type image stabilization.”

Olympus Zuiko 70-300mm

Olympus has updated the firmware for their budget telezoom lens, the Olympus Zuiko Digital 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 ED. Firmware version 1.2 includes:
“IMAGER AF is available when supported by the camera.
*Depending on the condition of the subject, the focusing speed near the telephoto end may slow down to maintain focusing accuracy.”
If you have not installed firmware version 1.1 you will also get this upgrade:
“Stabilized exposure precision.”

Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 35mm f/2 ZF

DIWA Labs has tested a mechanical lens from Carl Zeiss, the Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 35mm f/2 ZF. This lens is fully manual and it has some vignetting on a Full Frame camera at the biggest apertures. DIWA Labs used a Nikon D3 DSLR camera to perform all the tests of the lens.

Carl Zeiss Distagon T 28mm f2 ZF

The reputable website DIWA Labs has tested the manual lens Carl Zeiss Distagon T 28mm f2 ZF on a Nikon D3 camera body. Carl Zeiss are known for having very good lenses and the Carl Zeiss Distagon T 28mm f2 ZF is no exception.
One downside is that you get some vignetting on a Full Frame camera body when you use the largest apertures.
