The German testing site for photo equipment, Photozone.de, has tested the Sony 70-400mm f/4-5.6 SSM G (SAL-70400G) lens. This Sony lens is a part of their professional lens line up so it should be of top notch quality.

Photozone ends up giving the Sony 70-400mm f/4-5.6 SSM G (SAL-70400G) lens a good review as the lens has good resolution through out the full zoom range. The only downside is a bit of bad bokeh at the long end of the zoom range.

Dpreview has reviewed the Pentax smc DA 15mm f/4 ED AL Limited lens. This is the latest lens from Pentax and it is pretty rare as it is a fixed prime, and it is designed for a digital format.

Dpreview ends up giving the Pentax lens a “Recommended” rating. The lens has a nice and compact build, and has a high quality aluminum construction.
The only downsides are a bit of softness for pictures taken at F4 – F5.6 and that hood design could be better as it is hard to fit filters.
Seems like a nice wide angle prime lens for the Pentax system

The German testing site Photozone.de has tested the Canon EF 35mm f/2 lens for full frame DSLR cameras (tested on a Canon EOS 5D II camera). This moderately wide lens (on full frame) was designed by Canon in 1990 and is still usable for low light photography.

Photozone ends up giving the Canon EF 35mm f/2 lens a pretty good review. The border quality in pictures is good even at f/2 and there are little chromatic aberrations. The only downsides are a bit of vignetting and poor bokeh.
Seems like a nice prime lens for the Canon system.

DIWA Labs has tested the Carl Zeiss Planar T* 85mm f/1.4 ZE lens on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR camera body. This manual focusing lens is equipped with an all-electronic Canon EF mount making you able to set aperture in the camera.
DIWA Labs found out that the lens produce excellent results at medium and small apertures, but wide open it is a bit soft especially in the corners of the picture. This is due to the fact that the lens was tested on a full frame camera body.

The tests done by DIWA Labs are very technical so you need to read their test guide to understand the test results.
