About.com has reviewed a color laser printer from HP called HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw. The HP printer has a nice price tag and is able to print up to 12 pages per minute, or so HP claims.

Some key features for the HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw:
-Print speeds up to 12 pages per minute black and 8 pages per minute color
-Up to 600 x 600 dpi resolution
-150-sheet paper tray
-Manual duplex printing
-Wireless, USB 2 and ethernet connectivity

About.com ends up giving the CP1525nw an overall score of 3.5 stars out of 5 possible. On the positive side we find aspects such very good print quality both for monochrome and color prints and the wireless function works well. The reviewer finds a few negative points too like a bit of paper curl, manual duplexing and there is just a single paper tray. If you need a printer with excellent print quality, but it does not need to be the fastest this HP printer might be your choice.

Photography Blog has reviewed a travel zoom digital camera from Nikon. The Nikon camera has a nice optical zoom lens starting at 30mm and it is able to record HD movies with stereo sound.

Some key features for the Nikon Coolpix S8100:
-12.1 megapixel image sensor
-10x optical zoom lens (30-300mm)
-Image stabilization
-3″ LCD screen
-1080p high-definition movies with stereo sound
-HDR imaging

Photography Blog ends up giving the Coolpix S8100 a “Recommended” rating with an overall score of 4 out of 5 possible stars. The camera scores highest on design and features, a little lower on ease of use and value for your money, while it scores lowest on image quality. What keeps the Nikon from getting a top score is that the image quality could have been better and the lens could have been a bit wider. The S8100 is better than the previous S8000, but let us hope Nikon works even harder with their next camera in this line.
