Sony E 16mm f/2.8 SEL16F28

SLRgear has tested a new prime lens from Sony that is used for their new E-mount cameras NEX-3 and NEX-5. The lens is called Sony E 16mm f/2.8 SEL16F28 and seems interesting as it is pretty wide starting at 16mm (24mm equivalent). The Sony prime lens uses 49mm filters and does not come with a lens hood.

SLRgear ends up giving the Sony E 16mm f/2.8 SEL16F28 a good review, but the Sony lens has a few shortcomings. If you are looking for a lens that makes NEX camera more pocketable this lens is your choice, but it comes with a pretty high price tag and it is a bit soft if you use it wide open at f/2.8. Hopefully Sony will produce more prime lenses for the NEX series in the future.

Brother MFC-9465CDN

Trusted Reviews has tested a multifunction color laser printer from Brother targeted at workgroups. The printer is called Brother MFC-9465CDN and is able to print up to 24 pages per minute, or so Brother claims.

The Brother printer scores highest on features, while it scores a bit lower on print quality, print speeds and value for your money. There are not much to complain about this printer and with a lot of useful printers it could be a good choice for a workgroup looking for a multifunction laser printer.

Pentax Optio RS1000

Pentax Optio RS1000 is an interesting little camera as you can change the covers on the camera making it look pretty unique. CNET UK has reviewed this Pentax camera that also has plenty of megapixels and a 4x optical zoom lens.

CNET UK ends up giving the Pentax Optio RS1000 an overall score of 3.5 stars out of 5 possible. The Pentax camera gets positive points on aspects such as good price tag, stylish look, good camera body, easy to use and the image quality is better what you can expect from such a low price tag. The RS1000 has some negative points too and they include that you can not use zoom while recording video, short battery life and you do not get much of manual controls. Overall it seems like a good enough camera if you want to change the covers on your digital camera.

Sony has released a new stylish pocket camcorder with a 360 degree panorama lens adapter. The HD camcorder is called Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20K and now Trusted Reviews has tested this Full HD camcorder from Sony.

The Sony camcorder scores highest on value for your money, design and features while it scores a bit lower on performance. As the camcorder has a relatively big sensor it is able to produce good videos in low light compared to phones with HD video. It also has several unique features like the 360 degree panorama lens and flip-out USB connector that make it stand out in the crowd of HD video record devices that is swarming the market.
