Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W330

Imaging Resource has tested a budget digital camera from Sony. The camera is called Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W330 and has some nice specifications like 14 megapixels and a wide angle zoom lens.

Imaging Resource ends up giving the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W330 a good review and it even receives a “Dave’s Pick” award for budget cameras. When you look on the price and that you get 14 megapixels and a nice wide angle zoom lens it is a good camera. Of course there will be shortcomings on such a cheap camera and the W330 is no exception with heavy noise handling at higher ISO levels and no optical image stabilization, but it is still a good camera when you look at the price tag.

Epson Stylus Photo R1900 A3+

Trusted Reviews has tested a large format printer from Epson called Epson Stylus Photo R1900. The Epson printer is able to make A3+ prints which should fit most photographers needs.

Trusted Reviews ends up giving the Epson Stylus Photo R1900 a very good review with an overall score of 9 out of 10 points and even a “Trusted Reviews Recommended” award. The R1900 scores highest on print speed, print quality and features while scoring a little lower on value for your money. The print quality is very good for photo prints and so is the print speeds so it is safe to say that this is an excellent photo printer that many photographers will enjoy.

Samsung WB5500

Samsung has announced a new superzoom camera called Samsung WB5500. The WB5500 features a zoom lens with 26x optical zoom and 13.8 megapixels. This superzoom camera seems interesting but it remains to be seen what kind of image quality Samsung is able to produce.

-3″ LCD screen
-Sensor shift image stabilization
-0.24″ electronic viewfinder

The Samsung WB5500 digital camera will be released on the European market in May 2010 and cost about €429.

Fujifilm FinePix JZ500

Photography Blog has tested the Fujifilm FinePix JZ500 compact digital camera. This is small compact camera with 10x optical zoom and 14 megapixels.

Some key features for the Fujifilm FinePix JZ500:
-14 megapixel image sensor
-10x optical zoom lens (28-280mm)
-Image stabilization
-2.7″ LCD screen
-Capture HD movies in 720p quality
-Face Recognition

Photography Blog ends up giving the Fujifilm FinePix JZ500 a “Recommended” rating with an overall score of 4 out of 5 stars. The camera scores highest on value for your money, a little lower on design and ease of use while scoring lowest on image quality and features. The good thing about this camera is the low price and compact design when you look on how much zoom you get, but if your main point is image quality you might want to look at another camera as the FinePix JZ500 produces quite a lot of noise at higher ISO settings.
