Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10

The German test website Photozone.de has tested an old DSLR camera from Panasonic, the Lumix DMC-L10. This camera is known for its kit lens, the Leica D Vario-Elmar 14-50mm f3.8-5.6 MEGA O.I.S. lens, of very high quality and this high price.

-10.1 megapixel CCD sensor
-Leica D Vario-Elmar 14-50mm f3.8-5.6 MEGA O.I.S. kit lens
-2.5″ LCD screen with 270-degree rotation
-Supersonic Wave Filter that removed dust from the sensor

Photozone ends up giving the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 camera a pretty good verdict due to the very good quality of the kit lens, good Live View mode, the camera body has good handling and it is able to produce very good pictures. The downsides are the pretty high price compared to other DSLR camera in the same class, the camera does not have built in image stabilization making the lens selection a bit lacking if you need image stabilization and much noise at higher ISO sensitivities.

Canon Powershot A2000 IS

DIWA Labs has tested a budget friendly compact camera from Canon, the Canon Powershot A2000 IS. This camera have image stabilization, a 10 megapixel sensor, 6x optical zoom (36-216mm 35mm equivalent), 3″ LCD screen and more. Should be an interesting camera as a Christmas gift and for photographers looking to save money.

Canon PowerShot SX10

DIWA Labs has tested a superzoom compact camera from Canon, the Canon PowerShot SX10. This camera sports an impressive 20x optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 28-560mm), 10 megapixel sensor, electronic viewfinder and a tilt able LCD screen to make it easier to take the perfect shot. The Canon PowerShot SX10 seems like a very interesting camera for photographers that want to be able to chose what zoom they want without having a big DSLR and lots of lenses.

DIWA Labs has tested the top compact camera from Canon, the Canon PowerShot G10. This camera sports a 5x optical zoom lens, a whole 15 megapixel sensor and lots of other juicy specifications. This camera should be very interesting for photographers that are a bit serious, but do not want to lug around a big DSLR camera.
